Thanks sooey I didn't particularly like him and don't want to see him again. Think he could refund some money. Got a tiler due to fully tile but now on hold. He told me he has been doing showers for 30 years. As I've been unwell I should have maybe waited. If I got the go ahead to conceal...

Kitty, that is just genius. He should be reported to the cowboy trust and struck off. If you can follow the advice above and go for thermostatic bath/shower mixer tap and ask for your money back. Good luck Thanks Mark It has upset me, the man who fitted it said it couldn't be concealed due...

    Worried about new shower!

The link you did would them taps have temperature set on them? Then yes they should have been fitted, feel really fleeced! My last bathroom in my last place had a walk-in-shower and was all done but due to ill health had to move. It has really got to me.

    Worried about new shower!

I didn't want to be messing fiddling with taps and thought the thermostatic would be perfect! Plus I've paid a bit for it now without more expense. I'll get chrome piping so will look more blended in. My bathroom is next to my neighbours hall and wouldn't be allowed by my landlord to start...

    Worried about new shower!

Having moved into my new flat I wasn't happy to find a bath only. Anyway, decided I would like a shower to run off my combi boiler. The fella came and as it's not an option to have a 'concealed shower due to layout of my flat. So he installed a mixed shower, thermostatic control and...
