    LVT vs Tiles

I’m going to avoid the click LVT. Tiler is coming round today. I’ll see what he says about tiles and if that’s a no go, I’ll get glue down. Can’t find much feedback on Sierra exempla

    New kitchen

They’re not really built in as such. The just have the same doors as the cabinets. Ikea complicated this a bit so I went with a local bespoke company instead. Ikea unit heights and lack of service void, coupled with weird sizes put me off. I very nearly went with DIY kitchens.

    LVT vs Tiles

Tiles are my preference if they work. I did see some Sierra Exempla LVT that looked like a good buy but I don’t know if it’s a good brand?

    LVT vs Tiles

My adhd takes me down a rabbit hole with anything I buy and man maths kicks in. Trying to keep it in check with this. Some of this stuff is £80 m2 I’ve not seen lvt in person which is a worry. I’d much rather have tiles if they wouldn’t fail I’d just kick myself (hard) if they did

    LVT vs Tiles

Tiles are my preference for sure. Just make me a bit nervous. Why do you think click is bad? Does it look cheap? That’s my worry because it isn’t cheap at all.

This is the look I like but I’m not sure if this is a good brand or not?

    LVT vs Tiles

I’ll take your advice mate. It was my gut feeling and I was hoping to be convinced otherwise tbh I’ve had commercial laminate for the last 12 years in my lounge that has been really good, but I don’t like laminate in kitchens. At least LVT won’t be cold in winter

    LVT vs Tiles

This is my concern. I was hoping 600 x 600 tiles might be more forgiving than smaller tiles? I know LVT is the more sensible choice it just makes me a bit nervous because I’m not familiar with it.

    LVT vs Tiles

This was my concern, but I’ve been told 12mm backing board and suitable adhesive would be adequate without the membrane?

    New kitchen

I went back to the bespoke company that give me my original quote. We had a dispute over payment which we have settled. My only concern is their warranty is only 1 year? Is this normal for a small company? They use egger board and worktop and all hinges are Blum. So I assume they have...

    LVT vs Tiles

My mate who’s doing the job fitted LVT on a job a couple of months ago and liked it. I’ll take a look at floorify and kahrs I’m leaning towards tiles as they’re almost idiot proof to buy.

    LVT vs Tiles

I have a bungalow with a timber suspended floor. I want large format concrete tiles through my hall lounge and kitchen but worry prep might be really expensive? A friend suggested LVT but I worry it will look like Lino? Any advice is appreciated Thanks

    New kitchen

My planned kitchen supplier let me down at the last minute. Im going to Ikea as the whole process has been a pain. I have a few questions that AI keeps giving me conflicting answers for. Will a non ikea integrated washing machine fit an Ikea cabinet? Will an Ikea cabinet door fit...

    Lean to wall plate help

Not weird, I just remembered bricks and mortar above the window. Threw me when I seen it.

    Lean to wall plate help

I wasn’t aware that there was no masonry above the windows until yesterday. Thanks for the suggestion. appreciated. I was going to do this today but the weird windows ruined my plan. This similar to the idea I had yesterday, but I wasn’t sure of the detail for getting around the windows.

    Lean to wall plate help

I’m building a lean to and have a problem. I intended to put the wall plate above the windows and chase the flashing into the mortar, but I haven’t got room. Suggestions would be welcome and appreciated. Please ignore the state of the gutters. It’s my brothers place and he has MS. I don’t...

    Insulated raft foundation

Has anyone used a insulated raft foundation kit for a self build? They seem relatively straightforward but my ground workers have no experience with them. Just wanted to avoid any potential, easy to make mistakes. Thanks
