Osmo power Gel worked on my oak door. No need for sanding and as its a gel it sticks to vertical surfaces.

Brilliant, thanks for the recommendation - I'm glad it's still looking great, with so many products on the market it can be a difficult decision whether to go stain or oil, especially with a new deck that's been pressure treated.

Out of interest, how's the decking looking now after a bit of winter weather? I was under the impression a new deck has to mature a bit before treating to let the oil soak in.
