The switch doesn’t have to be live feed also ? I know it’s a silly question?

Yes mate with straight piece pushed on but when I turn it does nothing no click etc but if I use screwdriver in centre clicks every time ,,, so really just guessing on temp?

The only other issue I’ve got is the thermostat itself I messed up ? Heating Will only click …on …when I use a tiny screw driver in the centre cross as when I took the dial off I turned the outer circle with my fingers and it won’t click at all when I put the face on and turn,, basically fluffed...

No mate, what I did was turn the number 1 outer ring around ?Dont know why but anyway ,put dial face back on wouldn’t click? So took off and had a brain wave of turning no2 inner ring around with a screwdriver and it clicked started boiler/heating perfect ,, tried to turn no1 agin no click...

I’ve just replaced my thermostat ,,but had a silly idea .. wrong ,,, anyway issue is taken the front dial off to look inside ..should have stuck with factory settings…. any way decided to turn inner circle around with my fingers ? Thought I put it back ? Fitted it but not clicking/calling for...
