Rainwater downpipe just resting on top of gulley grate

It was a glazed pot gully I think you call it back inlet gully so the pipe went into the path and into the back of the gully. It had a heavy grate that lifted off.

    Retrospective plannimg for loft bedrooms

I don't believe the council can take action after 4 years and you could purchase an indemnity policy for your buyers in the unlikely event that they do.

Rainwater downpipe just resting on top of gulley grate

The home insurance did it and I'm not interfering with it. I just want to know if it's going to be a problem and if so I'll get them to come and put a shoe on it.

Rainwater downpipe just resting on top of gulley grate

Hi, I've just had a rainwater gulley replaced and I've noticed that the downpipe doesn't go into a hole but just presses against the grate. I'm worried that leaves and other debris will be trapped at bottom of pipe and I won't be able to clear them. Does the photo look ok to you or should I be...

Rainwater from bathroom gulley coming out of 2 pipes into manhole

I recently had my toilet pipe relined as there was a crack where it enters the external wall. I'm in a bungalow so there is a gulley that the bath, washbasin and rainwater pipe go into and that pipe and the toilet pipe then go into the manhole. I was told the gulley didn't need checking with...

House shakes since water leak under floorboards

I had a really bad water leak under the floorboards last year and I have no idea how long the pipe had been leaking for but the concrete slab was saturated the entire ground floor. Since it's been repaired the house shakes when buses go past. Does anyone know if this will stop or is the...

Ongoing problems after delay in water supply pipe repair

Yes the insurance company replaced the pipe as it was my pipe but they took 5 months to do so and I now have collapsed plumbing, sunken paths and cracks in the internal plaster on the walls.

Ongoing problems after delay in water supply pipe repair

Hi everyone! I've been having lots of problems with plumbing, drainage and electrics since having my leaking water supply pipe replaced 2 years ago next month. I reported the leaking supply pipe to my insurance company in the March and the pipe continued to run under my property until August...

    Soil pipe collapse (Ed.)

Yes there are two clay pipes going into the manhole, one from the gulley, bath and basin the other from the toilet then there's a square hole which I assume is to the soil stack to prevent gas coming into the building which makes no difference now if the pipes have broken! There is a leaking...

    Soil pipe collapse (Ed.)

I don't know until the floor is taken up. The guy from the water company said he thinks the collar may have come off and the water has been leaking out.

    Soil pipe collapse (Ed.)

The toilet pipe goes under the floor so it has to be joined where it attaches to the toilet.
