    Installing concrete floor

If you prime it, it will stick. This is fairly common and what the builder did on my extension. The other option, which might be harder and more expensive is to have the concrete polished. But I'd only do this if you were planning to display the concrete floor. Burried would be better. More...

RSJ replacement. Am I being difficult or is it the builder?

I've had the builders in replacing a wooden lintle and archway on my external wall (now had an extension). The builder put up acros but didn't use strong boys or needles. Once he removed the lintle, the arch and 4 leafs above predictably gave way and feel down. This meant we have to ad a...

    Is this lintle OK?

Yes, but even this sturdy wooden lintle looks like it will struggle to survive sir Kier Starling. It will probably need a digital ID card to stay in my wall.

    Is this lintle OK?

Hi All, I've recently taken down some plastering in my 1930s house. I've got an old lintle that's currently overhanging it's header by about 1/1.5cm The lintle is 3inch thick. Do you think this would be OK, or do I need to address it.
