Am I correct to insist that the door, frame and top/side panels are all showing straight with a spirit level, no matter whether the canopy/opening of my building is slightly off? I seem to have taken from this forum that their installation should be straight. The company are fairly...

Difficult to see from photo above however the top of the door itself is slightly lower on the left hand side. However it is plumb with the spirit level horizontally. I think that suggests that the whole frame is off plumb, correct?

Had the fitter round and they are now suggesting a refit and said regards the toplight that they can “pack it” to achieve a straight finish. Is this is an acceptable solution? I am glad they have agreed to a refit but concerned the result will not be good enough.

The frame fitted on the second occasion was a new frame. Is it strange that they used a new joiner?

The joiner is sitting off too - exactly the same as the toplight

The door is bang level

The side panel is almost plumb level - just ever so slightly off the same way as the fan light but not quite as much

sorry just re measured this and 123mm / 122mm - clearly needed a coffee before trying to measure. The glass from top to bottom is almost identical in both sides to. Took a level to the top and bottom of inner bead of the fan light and both the same - running off the same way
