Hi, thanks for the reply. That's the kind of thing I had in mind but couldn't describe it very well to the guys earlier. I wasn't sure if I was being picky or overly fussy about the facing bricks. Chances are the garage will never move but can't help but feel it would look a mess if it did.

Hi, thanks for the reply. From what they both said, it would be grinding a line at an angle following the pitch of the roof, which would be going through the bricks. The alternative is stepping it along the mortar but neither thought that was a good idea.
