    Sorry, I meant for the wall top plate to the noggings? I did toy with a friction fit between the chords! Is there an etiquette on what size fixings to use for chord fixing? I see Simpsons list the proper sizes etc so presumably something along the No.6 line would be adequate?

    Thanks for your input - would you then suggest fitting some slotted truss clips (Simpson style) to the noggings or is that unnecessary and just screw direct? The Simpson clips are harder to find in the UK it seems which makes me think truss uplift may not be such an issue?

    I did think about straddling across 2 or 3 truss chords and using long screws through the void but this would then limit and vertical movement (read that trusses need this?). I appreciate plasterboard etc will likely be nailed to the trusses, but I cannot find any guidance on any fixing...
