Just checked the spur and blue does go to Neutral and brown does go to Live.....unsure why it's swapped on the Honeywell. Surely the Honeywell shouldn't be working in this case?

I didn't even notice that...scary really. I'll be sure to check the spur first. I assume because the thermostat has been running this whole time it's most likely wired correctly just the wrong colours.... Thanks for clearing up the boiler connections, looks like it's what i expected.
