new light pendant in kitchen have wired it correctly but nothing happens, there are two main grey cables coming down through the roof, seems as though the switch does not work there are no other lights running from the same switch can somebody help

yes there's a blue wire with a red sleeve, and a red wire the blue goes through the wall into the main grey the red goes into the next switch, with a earth, another red wire and a yellow with a red sleeve all going into the main grey sorry no there is just another switch on the other...

i have taken off the switch from the wall and i think? there is i'll go and check

i have found a peice of terminal block connected the reds blacks to live and neutral earth to earth nothing happened

i have put the two red wires in the loop the bare wires in the earth and the black wires ive put one in the line the other in the neutral
