    Polish, varnish etc. for oak coffee table top

    I'm going to buy a length of oak veneered contiboard to make a new top for my coffee table so that it will match my new sideboards etc. Wot is the best product I can use (polishes, varnishes etc.) to get a decent finnish and give reasonable protection to the top bearing in mind its purpose...

    Can I glue a Carpet Edging Strip to a concrete floor?

    Due to complications around door frames etc. I need to insert a couple of aluminium carpet edging strips to join laminate flooring to a vinyl floor. My problem is I can't fix the strips down first. I need to lay the flooring then slip the strips under the edge and lower it and have it stick...
