I've got a small rad in the bathroom of my flat that only heats up when the hot water is on. It doesn't get warm at all when just the heating is on (18,000 BTU balanced flue boiler) I've tried balancing the rads and bleeding them, any ideas. It been like this since I moved in so it's not a new...

It's leaking slightly from behind the gland nut, if I shut it off the leak stops. Can I tighten the nut while holding the handle or are they joined together? Or do I have to replace the whole thing? Cheers
