    Damp in external walls

    I live in a 30s semi with solid brick walls, which are pebbledashed and painted, There is some water penetration. To overcome this, I need to know my options, please. Do I Repaint the existing surface; Strip the pebbledash and replace with smooth screed or wallcoating; etc?
