I have a new build flat with engineered oak floor throughout aside from in the bedroom (carpet) and bathroom (tiles).
I want to replace the bedroom carpet with a closely matching engineered oak floor.
I tried contacting the developers and architects to get the exact same planks, but couldn't...
I have a floor to ceiling height tilt window that also opens as a door.

I'm not sure I like the V-shaped diagonal pieces that connect to the horizontal piece, which in turn connects the two trestles (see red lines in image)...
1. Do I need to seal the inside of a bath shower screen where the chrome plated plastic mount meets the wall on the inside i.e. vertically down the side here?
2. And should I do it on the opposite side too i.e. the outside of where the mount meets the tiles?
