I have just fitted a gainsborough diplomat power shower in my bathroom. I took the feed from the hot and cold bath tap supplies (the cold feeds off of the loft tank which is a 50 gallon tank on a raised box area in the Loft).
the installation instructions said to take the feed from the tank...
