    close couple cistern

    How do you remove the lid from a close couple cistern? If I try and lift it off the buttons to flush come up as well - I'm concerned I'll break something if I just keep lifting. I'm trying to lift it off as I think there is something wrong with the valve as the cistern keeps running.
