ive fitted a new hood and extraction chimney,in the kitchen.My problem is that once i removed the sticky plastic protective covering,it has left dark glue residue,and the usual fingermarks. Anyone have an idea as the best way to clean this off.

If a new consumer unit has to be fitted,what are the next steps if there is not enough spare on the original cables,to make a satisfactory job? 90% of original cables will not reach.Is it feasable to fit an additional large j/b then extend down yo consumer unit?any help.thanks.
