i have a standard indoor fan rated at 70W. it has 3 speed settings but on the slowest setting it's still very fast and noisy. can i use a lighting dimmer with the fan to slow it down? i've noticed with a lot of dimmers they say not suitable for brushless motors, so are fans typically brushless?
