    Stopping pipes from freezing

    Cracks in concrete floor

    Replacing old vinyl and found some hairline cracks in the concrete floor. The house was built in 1964. the floor isn't damp and there are no corresponding cracks in the brickwork. Is this anything to worry about or is this normal for a 46 year old house? A big thanks to anyone who replies!

    Vinyl flooring

    I'm laying vinyl onto a concrete floor in a house built in 1964. Can the vinyl be laid straight onto the concrete or is it better to give it a coat of liquid DPM? Cheers for any replies.

    plastic to copper convertor

    Hi, my house built in 1964 has what looks like copper pipe for the waste, what can I use to connect it to a 40mm plastic waste pipe? I don't know if there was a standard size pipe used in 1964 but this pipe is a little under 34mm.
