what about smells etc. I was planning to put kitchen units on this wall, i could build a removable bottom in the unit i suppose.

i will lift it tomorrow with a crow bar and take some snaps. if its a sewer pit is my best option to move it 4 feet outside once i know the flow direction.

i cant its rusted shut, would they build a house and put a sh*t pit inside the kitchen...

I have just bought a house, 40s terraced ex local authority, solid nice am happy, except I JUST FOUND A MANHOLE UNDER A KITCHEN UNIT!!!! :shock: :shock: :shock: Its about 2 foot sq and is rusted in place so i think that its never been lifted, its so close to the wall i don't know why...
