    H. thanks Stem - really helpful - I have the S-Plan two. I proceeded with disconnecting the R6660D by looping the terminals into which the grey and black had been connected - photo included to show the wiring. Connected the Tado Extension box, 1 thermostat and 12 radiator values. All is...

Solved: Which Wiring Plan is this Honeywell 42002116-002 connected to a st9400c & R6660D->hcw80 -

Hi Before I install a Tado extension kit I'm trying to work out if the wiring I currently have confirms to any of the Honeywell Sundial Plans: i.e W or S etc. I just can't match the physical wires to the layout in the HoneyWell wiring guide in that the R6660D seems to go into the wrong...

No hot water from indirect cylinder

Thanks all for the help. I have taken a picture to show the situation and have opened the vent on the pipe immediately behind the MV. Air did escape before water and then after repeatedly opening and closing it while the boiler was running, hot water eventually escaped. Did not have time to...

    Immersion Heater Failure - Twice

Stat needed to be reset, after doing this and dropping the temperature to 50 it worked fine last night and this morning. It still makes me question why the stat tripped. This may just be because the new element is that much more efficient to the old one that failed, the water temp does feel...

    Immersion Heater Failure - Twice

powell30, that's an interesting question, on the same day that the first immersion heater failed the house alarm tripped. I found no reason for the alarm going and concluded that it was a power drop even though no circuit breakers had tripped. I didn't call out the alarm people to investigate...

    Immersion Heater Failure - Twice

Thank you all. Temperature was set to 60, and the top of the heater has not been covered. The element was bought to cope with Hard water as this matches my understanding of the area. Didn't think to reset the stat, I'll try that this evening. cheers

    Immersion Heater Failure - Twice

After the immersion heater failed, I tested that a current could pass through the elements with the heater in situ, and it could not. I isolated the water flow, drain from the bottom of the hot water cylinder and extracted the element. It was visibly split. I have replaced the element with...
