What happens to the boiler controller (i.e the timer, etc )

Boiler is a Worcester Greenstar Combi Boiler

Just sent an email of to my utilities supplier for them to confirm whether or not this was a service visit. If it wasn't - will arrange for a service - and hopefully the fault will be rectified.

Boiler is approx 10 years old... When I mentioned that a service had been done - this was a visit to see if the boiler could be placed on a Homecare service plan. I assumed this was also a service visit.

I've recently noticed that the pressure gauge on the boiler was showing zero, (heating, and hot water appears to be fine) when changing the timing of the boiler. Checked all radiators to see of their is any signs of leaks - there is none. I increased the pressure to 1.5 bar using a filing hose...

yep... looks like that's the only solution. Waiting for the fitter to take a look - Doors are only 10 months old, and hardley been opened. Was just curious why the Lock would only oprate from the outside.

My Combi system is a Greenstar 30Si. It has a display telling me pressure (I assume in the boiler) is 1.5 bar. I don't know if I have a reducing valve, or where it is if I do.

No sign sof loose pipework. Stopcock jumper/washer has already been renewed.

Contacted BG first using the contact number from above - that was last week (10th July) - was told they would contact me, but still waiting for the call !

Thanks for the advice. Thats what the kitchen fitter's suggested - replace the whole CU rather than have one fitted (by themselves) just to protect the kitchen. Assume cost will be around £300 for replacement of CU (NE34 area).
