Wireless Chime Options For Hikvision NVR Alarm Output

I have a Hikvision DS-7616NXI-I2/16P/4S NVR which I would like to notify me of any events (e.g. intrusions/line crossings) via an external chime. I'd want this to be particularly loud as I find the NVR's internal chime isn't sufficient. What is the neatest/simplest way to set this up? Is there...

Acusense G2 Turret With Strobe Light And Speaker - DS-2CD2386G2-ISU/SL

Does anyone know when the DS-2CD2386G2-ISU/SL 4k turret cameras with strobe lights and speakers are likely to be released? No suppliers that I have approached can find any stock availability or pricing on these. I've only been able to find a couple video reviews. Are Hik known for releasing...

Smart AI Cameras vs Alarm Beams For Perimeter Notifications

What do you think is the benefit of Acusense (or ISD) cameras over a centralised approach of using a Deepinmind NVR?

Smart AI Cameras vs Alarm Beams For Perimeter Notifications

Were these installations using the Hik Deepinmind NVR's which process the image sent from the 'dumb' cameras, or the Acusense cameras which undertake the AI processing themselves? Do you have a preference of which is the superior setup?

Smart AI Cameras vs Alarm Beams For Perimeter Notifications

It has always been the case that a wired (or wireless) alarm with detectors is the first layer of property security, and CCTV is used as evidence for after any events. However, with the rise of affordable 'smart' AI CCTV software (such as Dahua, Hikvision, BlueIris, etc.), it strikes me that...

Pyronix Enforcer With Wireless Optex Perimeter Beams

This I cannot get to the bottom of. I have seen it mentioned on a couple of online stores and within forum discussions. Hence the query back here :).

Pyronix Enforcer With Wireless Optex Perimeter Beams

Thanks for ruling out the MC1MINI-WE. So either the MC2-WE or an Inovonics EE1216? Which is the more suitable option?

Pyronix Enforcer With Wireless Optex Perimeter Beams

Having spent a fair amount of time researching a new alarm install, I have settled on the following setup to secure the exterior of the property as well as outbuilding. - Pyronix Enforcer Control Panel V10 - ENF32UK-WE DIGI-WIFI Wireless Module x1 - KF4-WE Two Way Keyfobs x2 - XDL12TT-WE...

How To Connect 32mm MDPE To This Stopcock?

Mains was renewed in the street in the last 15 years, but it could well be. I guess we won't know until our meter is installed. If we can remove the 25mm on our side, I guess that only leaves one uncertainty though ;).

How To Connect 32mm MDPE To This Stopcock?

Doesn't that defeat the point of a larger bore (32mm) incoming mains as we're still limited by the first bit of 25mm MDPE coming off the mains stopcock? Hence, ideally we want to connect straight to the stopcock?

How To Connect 32mm MDPE To This Stopcock?

We're upgrading our existing incoming mains to 32mm MDPE. We've dug the trench and exposed the connection to the mains stop cock. I'm guessing the current pipe is 25mm MDPE which shortly after becomes 27mm steel. What fitting do I need to connect the new 32mm MDPE to the stopcock? Or do we need...

Fixing Plain Tiles Along Hip - How?

All have had nibs cut off. Furthermore, replacing most with tile and a half's will still mean nibs need to be cut off...

Fixing Plain Tiles Along Hip - How?

Our bedded 1/3rd round hip tiles have seen the end of their lifetime with all the mortar having crumbled away. We'll be replacing these with a dry fix system. Upon lifting the existing 1/3rd round hip tiles, none of the plain tiles (cut at angle to align with the hip rafter) are mechanically...

Which 'Gravel' For Driveway (Granite, Limestone, Basalt)?

We've completed the type1 sub base and edgings for our driveway. All we need now is the gravel dressing. Our wishlist is: - Our driveway is on a bit of a slope so we want an irregular stone, - Due to owning some heavy 4x4's we are after something durable which won't turn to dust in a couple of...

Condensation On Internal Chimney Breast - Stack Removed

So are we saying that ventilating the chimney breast internally or externally is NOT the solution? But ventilating the affected room itself. The room is always heated and used but there are no trickle vents. We'll leave one of the windows open on the first lock for the time being and see if...

Condensation On Internal Chimney Breast - Stack Removed

The chimney breast is partially in the wall and partially past the external wall. The stack was also built slightly inwards of the breast externally. So, by the time the stack was removed, the roof could be extended to the existing fascia either side and the roof covers the entire breast. I...

Condensation On Internal Chimney Breast - Stack Removed

We don't have trickle vents, but also don't dry any clothes in the house. Nothing about the house or our lifestyle has been changed in a very long time. What else could cause this to suddenly become a problem after so many years? The chimney is not used, there are no fireplaces or any access...

Condensation On Internal Chimney Breast - Stack Removed

Since last year, the inside of our unused chimney breast becomes soaked in high humidity. Brown stains and salt streaks are present. Thinking this was a leak around the flashing, I decided to simply take down the stack to loft level and extend the roof. This did not cure the issue. I've since...

Render 'Upside Down' On Lintel Above Front Door?

Ok, so his advice is genuine and you don't tend to render the underside of lintels?

Render 'Upside Down' On Lintel Above Front Door?

The only reason not to go with a uPVC trim is render will look more elegant (unless of course it cracks and falls off). The door and windows are all uPVC and are set back 75mm.
