Wiring diagram correct for 63A RCCB and 50A MCB?

Thanks, Steve So the drawing was correct only if the supply was coming in the top. There's a bar already connecting the L RCD load to the L MCB supply. Much appreaciated. Buzz

Wiring diagram correct for 63A RCCB and 50A MCB?

Afternoon... I've just bought a new place and scarily there's no RCD on the 10.8 kW electric shower. I had a sparky in to check a few things out and he said to get a standalone 50A 30mA RCD unit that goes next to the CU (rather than replace the whole CU which is a bit old). I've got one...

    Underfloor Heating electrics...pretty competent DIYer

It's always the most pertinent information that unfamiliar people give last.. I always assumed that the heater would pull 3800W max if it needed to. It only occurred to me to look at the actual rating when i read eric's response. I guess your question should've been "why did no one ask...

    Underfloor Heating electrics...pretty competent DIYer

ericmark - Thanks for that very useful post. The heating is actually only rated 600W so 2.5A is way below the 16A I initally thought it was...a 5A local isolator would work I guess. I've also just called the manufacturer and the Electirc Mesh is not needed. And you hit the nail on the...

    Underfloor Heating electrics...pretty competent DIYer

    Underfloor Heating electrics...pretty competent DIYer

Thanks for the quick reply... I think my "Yeah that's fine" was meant to be more, "yes, go ahead and install it, when it's done, I'll come back and test the install" I'll be installing in the bathroom but the consumer box is right the other side of the flat and I can't see how I can get it...

    Underfloor Heating electrics...pretty competent DIYer

Hey all... This place has been my saviour many a time but I've never actually had to ask a question myself before. I've just bought some underfloor heating and need to get it wired in. The page for the electrics is here http://www.dumpt.com/img/viewer.php?file=0y5bz1vxdj2uif7hw74c.jpg...

Raising the bath with flexi hose

Hi All, I've just moved into a new place and the gap between the bath and the tiles is huge...over 1 inches, so I need to raise the bath and seal the gap. This is what I've got: - I need to add a flexi hose to the existing 22mm pipe but I can't figure out how to attach to the tap...

    Central Heating Bolier Noisy

Hi ppl, I've sort of got the same problem... the boiler is pretty noisy, it almost sounds like a kettle boiling. Every 2 mins or so there's a rushing noise and the pipe in the expansion tank gurgles once or twice. The radiators closest to the boiler also need bleeding about every 2 days...

    Adding 2 sockets in kitchen

cheers for the advice.... i'll probably extend the ring, I don't want to start my new house off with bad practices..:). It may be a slightly bigger trench I have to cut out to fit double the cable but i'm sure it'll be safer in the long run. B

    Adding 2 sockets in kitchen

Hi ppl, I've just moved into a new old house and wish to add another 2 double sockets in the kitchen. There's only one double there already but I don't know if its on the ring or a spur (will check this later). From what I've read so far, if it's a spur then tough but if it's on the ring...
