    Vaillant eBus oddity

Ah, not so random then perhaps. I will try to accumulate some data to backup your theory. Yes, I appreciate this, but in my experience, it works better than a traditional mechanical cylinder thermostat. I suspect this is the case if you are using the VRT360 in analogue mode. I am not...

    Vaillant eBus oddity

Yes, when it is doing that, I agree with you. But what I am saying is that, randomly it only uses 65c flow temp for the water heating, which causes the boiler to cycle alot, which cannot be good/correct. DH2

    Vaillant eBus oddity

Hi all. My system is: Vaillant ecoTEC 430 open vent boiler Vaillant VRT360 programmable room thermostat Vaillant VR65 control centre Vaillant VR10 NTC sensor (tucked under insulation on a normal DHW tank) It mostly all works super, but I have noticed that sometimes, when DHW is...

    Vaillant control optimisation

I had wondered about that, but wasn't sure how it worked with the UniStor. I guess I can plug it in and see what temps it is reporting at the boiler. As you say, it can't be any less accurate than the electro-mechanical stat that is already fitted. You could be right, balancing has always...

    Vaillant control optimisation

Sorry to keep whinging on, but its really annoying me now. I'm running in analogue mode, so the stat is giving a required flow temperature to the boiler over the eBus. However, this evening, the current temp read by the stat, was above the required temp, but it was still requesting a flow of...

I'm boxing-in above the new boiler this weekend, so I won't be able to watch it anymore... then I can concentrate on obsessing about my room stat. :? DH2

As I understand it, you should fit these devices in the return flow as near to the boiler as possible, as this prevents any crud picked up when the circulant passes through the radiators, entering the boiler heat exchanger. Before the 3-way valve is still in the flow rather than the return...

    Vaillant control optimisation

Actually, since my first post earlier, I've discovered the answer to my original question 5. In two-point mode, the VRT360 behaves like a traditional thermostat (i.e. demand / no-demand for heat). In analogue mode, it communicates the required flow temperature to the boiler over the eBus, by...

    Vaillant control optimisation

Hi all. I'm trying to optimise the working on my new boiler and control system, which is specced as follows: Vaillant EcoTEC Plus 415 open vent boiler Vaillant VRT360 room thermostat Vaillant VR65 control center which are interconnected using eBus. Using existing Y-plan hot water 230v...
