New paint on smooth kitchen unit doors

The kitchen units/cupboards are in bright yellow and I would like to paint it over with a more natural colour like pine. What do I need to do? What steps should I take before tackling this? What ind of paint can I use, etc.? any advice greatly appreciated! Many thanks in advance. :)

    URGENT WARNING

Prevention is better than cure! ;) Since using Mozilla Firefox instead of IE, I get very few spy/adwares. I am also very wary of installing dodgy software, e.g. Kazaa or any "free" software that installs spyware. Both Ad-aware and Spybot, for me, does the job well. :)

    Baxi Bahama 100: Flooding

a follow-up. An engineer was in earlier today and the flame is back on but it is still leaking. He said the problem is in the red thing (shown in the pic below) Which is where the water was coming out. Out of interest: is this it (whatever this red thing is called?) or is there...

    Baxi Bahama 100: Flooding

came to the kitchen this morning to find that it was all flooded thanks to Bahama boiler. Pressure was way over 3 but after switching it off and turning on the sink tap, it went down to zero. No more flooding but now the boiler is not firing? Is it something to do with flow switch...

    Stupid Signs

I am hearing impaired and buying a DVD with subtitles can be difficult -- some may clearly say "English subtiitles for Hearing Impaired", "English Subtitles", "Subtitles available" (English not available), etc. There is not one standard sign symbol for this facility. <sigh> There should be...

Does anyone know how to stop cats peeing in the corner

One of my sister's cats likes to climb up the curtains so she got hold of Oscar and splashed water on his face. Three or four times later, he stopped climbing up her expensive curtains. Just a thought....

    boiler being cheeky.....?

It sure is a crap boiler compared to my parents' ever-effective 30+ year old "proper" boiler! :( As promised, I checked out the pics but can't see anything obvious -- can you help pinpoint where the handle is? To see larger versions, just click on the image. The boiler The silver pipe...

    Picture editing...

There is a tool in PhotoShop called something like Blend or Clone (something similar should apply to PaintShop Pro too). It depends greatly on the quality of the paths around the photo (in the front) so it may or may not work out well.

    boiler being cheeky.....?

I have got a Baxi Bahama 100 combi boiler -- not exactly a brilliant boiler (it was already there in the flat when I moved to the flat!). The pressure gauge is always 0 and according to the instructions it says that the "normal" pressure is 1-2.5 -- what should I do? Is this such a big...
