Eaton / Scantronic alarm - PSTN turn-off, no notifications from app. Solutions?

Sorry, let me correct - I had the manual for the i-on40, but it seems from the keypad that I DO actually have the i-on40H. The software version is: v5.01.04

Eaton / Scantronic alarm - PSTN turn-off, no notifications from app. Solutions?

Good question! I genuinely have no idea, it was installed back in 2017, and I don't know what the installer code is. As for supporting the app, I can arm and disarm the system using the app (and I see the log of everything that's been done), it's just that I don't get notifications.

Eaton / Scantronic alarm - PSTN turn-off, no notifications from app. Solutions?

Hello all! With the impending PSTN turn-off, have decided to upgrade my internet from DSL to fibre. I have an Eaton / Scantronic I-on40 alarm (wired, not the "hybrid" one). The alarm is not monitored, if it goes off I just get an automated phone-call, which is fine. With no phone line, I was...

Underfloor heating issue - Hot Water Light off, system not heating

Thanks Rodders! Heating engineer is now away for almost 2 weeks (he did tell mem bad luck for me). I'm going to go zone by zone, valve by valve, flow meter by flow meter to see what happens when one is opened. But I seem to have a style of return pin valve that I can't see anywhere else (maybe...

Underfloor heating issue - Hot Water Light off, system not heating

Well. Update. A heating engineer came in. He changed all the flow meters and one of the actuators that seemed like it might not be working. When removing all the actuators, he saw that the pin valves were almost all very close to being totally closed, so he turned them all on. On restarting the...

Underfloor heating issue - Hot Water Light off, system not heating

ok, so i removed the plastic knobs and used a spanner to close the valves (90 degrees left / ANTI-clockwise). No way I could have done them without the spanner, way too tight.

Underfloor heating issue - Hot Water Light off, system not heating

So the plot thickens. I have 4 zones (with 6 flow meters - for 2 of the zones, there are 2 flow meters associated with them because they each cover 2 rooms). I turned the 4 zones on via their thermostats, one-by-one. 3 (or maybe even 4, too dirty to see) of the flow meters do not move when the...

Underfloor heating issue - Hot Water Light off, system not heating

you guys are all VERY good! Thank you! It was indeed the motorised valve - the little lever is sticking and won't activate automatically, which is why there was no activity from the pump/HW light. If I manually push the lever, everything kicks in and is working as normal. Looks to be a standard...

Underfloor heating issue - Hot Water Light off, system not heating

There's a grundfos pump - should there be a noticeable sound coming from it? When I turn on a zone (and I hear the "click" and the light come on in the wiring centre), I can't seem to hear anything at all from the pump. The flow meters are pretty dirty/cloudy as well which probably isn't a good...

Underfloor heating issue - Hot Water Light off, system not heating

Nope, it's a system boiler (Worcester Bosch Greenstar).

Underfloor heating issue - Hot Water Light off, system not heating

(It had to happen when it's cold outside....) So I've had an UFH heating for 7 years, all been fine. But last night, I noticed that the rooms were chilly and no heat coming through the floor. The thermostats were on, the signals (from all 4 zones) were being sent to the wiring centre ok. I had...

one light switch stopped working - baffled by wiring!

Agreed. Bit of a coincidence that they've both gone at the same time. Thanks for all your help & time, much appreciated!

one light switch stopped working - baffled by wiring!

Hi SUNRAY - yes, the bedroom is also on a dimmer. I change the dimmer module on the right hand side, but perhaps that's not even the module causing the problem, and it's one of the other two? If relevant, when I connecting 3 wires into the same hole, the bedroom also worked fine!

one light switch stopped working - baffled by wiring!

Many apologies, I didn't get notification of the more recent replies - but thank you to you all! So as someone suggested, I put all the wires into one single terminal on the "right" dimmer switch. They all turn on, but the undercabinet lights did could not be turned off. As you say, SUNRAY...

one light switch stopped working - baffled by wiring!

So the undercabinet round lights are 3W Leyton round cabinet downlights. There are 7 in total - 5 down one side of the kitchen, 2 on the opposite side (if that's what you mean by "2 different power supplies"? Re putting all 3 wires into one terminal - I will try that tomorrow morning in...

Ok, so replaced with the new module on the right. But the lights still don't turn on.

one light switch stopped working - baffled by wiring!

Thanks all! So to answer some of the questions: 1. The right switch lights (undercabinet) - can't remember wattage, but unlikely to be more than 5w each. 2. I did indeed disconnect the wires on the right switch, but then put them back as they were. 3. Great point re under-cupboard lights - yes...
