    EUREKA Got a random call form a plumbing company (i put a request on website). they came round and had a look. despite my checking one of the pump valves had been shut!! problem solved i think. its all firing up - better than ever. i wonder if the first BG engineer that replaced the pump...

    at the moment whether i put heating on or hot water, the boiler fires up and pump kicks in. it goes for maybe 2-3 mins then cuts out and wont go again till the boiler is cool. the flow pipe from the boiler is piping hot ad goes about 1m before its is cool. the return is slower to heat, i think...

    any reason why i couldn't connect a hose to the drain off (on return pipe to boiler) and connect to a tap to push water back through system?

    i figure it is airlocked when downstairs rads stopped working after drill incident, but since pump reverse hot water not working either.. the waters always been clear, never mucky from valves etc.. don;t think BG want chase airlock, they want me to pay for powerlush.

    yeah checked that. took screw off it and pressed in side a few times, not sure if some air came out. sounds a bt better.. but no improvement in circulation

    thanks guys. i have microbore coming in one end then out the other. is that twin entry? Could it be possible when the new pump was put in backwards it damaged the air separator? Its only about 6 inches up form it?
