Hi, When the hot water is off and the central heating red light is illuminated on the programmer the orange wire is not live, if the hot water is switched back on and its red light is lit on the programmer the orange wire from the central heating valve is the live again. Regards, Steven

Hi, Thanks for your rapid reply. the valve that controls the heating does make a light buzzing sound when working would this be the motor on the valve or the actual valve itself?. The valve is a two port Honeywell 8922 model. Regards, Steven
