How to remove driving tool from metal fence spike

I guess that professionals would find the posts too expensive for a long run of fencing, at one every 6 feet or so. I'd rather bang ten metal spikes into clay than dig a hole, mix concrete etc. The metpost does protect the wooden (tanalised) post from contact with the soil, whereas I've seen a...

How to remove driving tool from metal fence spike

I bought them both from B&Q. They are the original "Metpost", made by Metpost, who sell the driving tool to safely bang the metal spike into the ground. The driving tool is a 4 inch square block of high density black plastic, with a twisted metal bar around the top for alignment when hammering...

How to remove driving tool from metal fence spike

How to remove driving tool from metal fence spike

Thanks for the ideas guys. Once the plastic block is wedged in, it won't come out. I haven't concreted the metal spike in, it's just in the ground. The metal bar wrapped around the top only allows the spike to be pulled out with the block still in it. I have called Metpost and they weren't...

How to remove driving tool from metal fence spike

The fence post tool is a dense block of plastic, 4 inch square, which is used to hammer the metal post holder into the ground, as suggested, without damaging the edges of the metal post spike. The problem is that the tool also gets knocked into the flanges which are supposed to grip the post...

How to remove driving tool from metal fence spike

I'm sure someone has done this......I have used a hard plastic driving tool to knock metpost into the ground, as recommended, but the block has fitted itself very tightly into the metal part meant for the fence post !!!! DUH! Any idea how to remove it without removing the fence spike?

    Noise waking me up!

Moved into new house a year ago and noticed that the system was quite noisy, especially with water and rads on - there was a metallic squealing noise from the pipes just before switch off. Now the hot water system has got so noisy the radiators around the house wake me up, and they are not even...
