Six years on from my last post following the fix above and I can report all trouble free and perfect running on my wonderful Miele W844, now 27 Years Old and looking young and fresh as a daisy (unlike his owner I might add). ...that is up until today and aaarrgghh the dreaded Flashing Red CHECK...

Oh, right that unit in the picture is at the bottom front of the drum, there is a narrow gauge rubber pipe that leaves that unit and goes right up to the top of the machine and actually passes through the hole on the EL200C board to a connector on the fascia... The Carbon ends of the brushes...

Ok, not sure which item is the Pressure Chamber so can you have a look at the image below to check if this is the unit you mean. Also, if it is, any idea how to remove it ? Also uploaded an image of the brushes for interest...

Ok, you are correct, I have re-tested the Omron about 100 times on all the combinations. Sometimes it appears as though the reaction on the meter is a bit slow, other times it seems to work OK. It is hard to tell if the relay is not working or my connections between the pins was not perfect...
