    fig 2a and 5a is what i'm aiming for, it was the unbreathable sarking and lack of soffit ventilation i have that caused the original questions. cheers for the link, i found it earlier when i was researching but still re read it, as it brought some of the terminology back that i'd forgotten...

    not my usual subject, but doing the research.... after reading loads on insulating between roof purlins, leaving air gaps and eaves clear of woolly dog, my predicament is; the house is ex metro with concrete gutters (pics lower down) and there isnt an air gap in the soffit to start with...

    unfortunately not. the link above although worked, i could not get a response from them. ended up changing the 4 channel programmer for a couple of two channel programmers.

    bt used to have a ring test by dialling 174 and waiting for the engaged tone, then replacing the handset. as i'm on virgin cable this does'nt work, so was wondering if they have an equivelent or is it a case of ringing it from a mobile? and does the bt test still work on bt lines? cheers nrg

    yey! well done back when we had bus conductors, one got caught for overcharging fares on every passenger. sentancing was death by electric chair. bloke gets strapped in and zapped with 10kv (or however much it is) miraculously after 3 minutes the power is shut off and the bloke smiles...
