    Tank Overflowing - Please help!

Hi Guys, Thanks for your help, it was indeed the shower. Did the final test today, and as soon as I had isolated the shower the tank stopped overflowing....eureka! Only problem now is that I don't know whether the shower mixer was faulty, or if it should never have been used on our system...

    Tank Overflowing - Please help!

Great thanks for your help. I will test the final mixer tomorrow and hopefully it will confirm it!! I have a feeling the plumbers fitted a pressure reducing valve when they fitted the shower, maybe this has gone. Once I have 100% confirmed the problem I'll start working on the solution...

    Tank Overflowing - Please help!

Ok, will check water level heights this evening, the header tank for the c/h is not situated on the floor, it is on a shelf, so I think they are about the same height, but I will double check as I can't remember for sure. It is definitely the cws tank thats overflowing, as I have said, the...

    Tank Overflowing - Please help!

Thanks guys, So you think that I have two seperate issues then? One causing the overflow and one causing the water in the header tank for the central heating to be hot? You are right in the fact that I can turn off the mains to stop the cold water flow to the mixer and this in turn does...

    Tank Overflowing - Please help!

Thanks, Will triple check the ball valve, but don't think it is due to this as it does seem to be working correctly. The system is pumped and the cold supply to the taps is from the mains, hot water from the tank in the loft. Cheers Sal

Hi Can someone please help with some advice. Our cold water storage tank is constantly overflowing, regardless of whether the boiler is on or off. If the mains water is switched off, it doesn't overflow, but within half an hour of the mains being on, it is overflowing again. The ball valve...
