boiler "cycling" and tripping out after rad removal and new pump

Well you guys are legends and I'm extremely upset that it turns out I am indeed a plank. Just got the " love of my life" to take some pics and you were all right with your diagnosis of the pump wrong way round. I dunno what to say except thanks. I'm so f#*#ing annoyed at my incompetence! . Will...

boiler "cycling" and tripping out after rad removal and new pump

I'm on till 6 at work so will double check on the pump thing when I get in, if that is what's happened I'll be both highly embarrassed and elated if its just a case of turning it/ the head round. I never saw a direction arrow on the new pump when I was fitting and am pretty sure all the...

boiler "cycling" and tripping out after rad removal and new pump

Thanks for your time guys, the pump instructions say to " ensure " electrical connection plug faces downwards. It can only be fitted one way for this to be the case, if I did fit it the other way all the pump settings and led's would be upside down too. I will look for a flow arrow just to rule...

boiler "cycling" and tripping out after rad removal and new pump

What would be a safe pressure to take the system up to in trying to force the air out?. It's always sat at around 1 bar, I did take it up to 1.3bar.

boiler "cycling" and tripping out after rad removal and new pump

Cheers for your time rampage. I'd persist for ages but the other half isn't quite as patient after 2 days with very little hot water and heating!. Pump is right way up, electrical plug should face down and does. I found a couple of bleed points on flow and return pipes above boiler and vented...

Leaking rad bleed screw, does anyone recognise make or type please

Hi all Just been doing the pre winter checks and went round bleeding the rads. A couple of the bleed screws in my set up are dodgy, whereby they do up to a certain tightness then slip off loose again, one of which is now dripping when the heating is on. I haven't removed or checked the valves...

    Electric shower replacement

Thanks for replies I know electric showers are not the best but when one breaks it's so much easier to just replace the unit with something similar!. If you're replacing a triton with a triton then yes I've seen they pretty much keep there fittings the same for ease of connection, I guess...

    Electric shower replacement

Hi all My daughters creda aqua wave 9.5kw shower is malfunctioning, I did some testing and it seems there's no power getting to one of the two heating elements in the water heater. I'm no sparky though so was just really making sure nothing had come loose. It doesn't seem worth looking into a...

    concrete block wall

On further investigation it is as you rightly said r896neo a double skin ( i knocked out a loose brick and found another skin behind) the skin behind is in worse condition from what i could see!. I`m not sure if this changes anything except if i was to demolish i`d end up with double the...

    concrete block wall

Hi and thanks for replies, i like the idea of laying the blocks end on at least for bottom of wall, i hadn`t thought about that and i feel it maybe overkill but i dont wanna be repeating this in 10 years when i`m into my pipe and slippers!. The wall/reinforcing when built will be hidden by a...

    concrete block wall

Hi all, at the bottom of my garden i have a 7ft drop onto about another 20 ft square of land. The wall holding back the garden is just a single skin brick wall thats well past its heyday. Its bowing and has some cracks also. Its not got any worse in the 3 years i`ve had property but i intend to...
