As i have said, i have some fur type substance? coming through on a couple of patches of a newly plastered wall. I sealed the wall with watered down emulsion and 99% of it is fine. But these problem patches, even when the wall was first painted wouldn't accept the paint, it kept on blistering...

Hi, i`m going to lay vinyl tiles in my bathroom & kitchen. I need to use a self levelling compound as they`re going onto an old concrete floor. Do i need to use PVA primer first as well as the self levelling mix ? the concrete isn`t in too bad a condition. Thanks.

The tiles are planks 36"x3" and squares 12"x12". The only problem is that the kitchen has had new cabinets fitted so it`s going to be difficult to spread the underlayment between the feet ? I was reading another topic on this forum and "jbonding" suggests mixing PVA with cement & sand and laying...

Can anybody help me out here ? I`m trying to cut small glass mosaic tiles with some tile nippers but they keep shattering. Do i need to score the tiles with a glass cutter or is there an all purpose tool that will cut a clean edge ?
