    Pin will be leaking. They always do. Remove head and make sure pin moves freely up and down. This may stop the weeping or may not!

    If you've cleaned it up and it's reappeared then it's leaking. Leaks can appear when hot or cold or when transitioning from one to the other as materials expand and contract at different rates.

    In layman's terms... Sludged up system are present in 1000s if not millions of properties. National gas usage would be reduced dramatically if all systems were clean and treated.

    Ain't that right @HERTS P&D... That stalag-shyte has now dropped 3 metres down the stack! This means opening up the wall and cutting a section out of the stack, so that it can be pulled out... It's about 500mm long and hard as concrete! My Saturday morning job :sick:

    And yet sludge is the biggest cause of CH problems and boiler breakdowns. And is why the government have now introduced quality checks for system water as it also affects energy usage.

    You don't need a product. You just connect the feed and vent to the pipe in an "H" configuration, the correct way around and the correct distance apart. 2 tees is all you really need... Use compression then you can always take it apart for future attention!

    Discharge from unvented should point down to ground not out at the open world. Does the kit in the photo have a NRV in the clamp-on fitting? Where's the NRV?

    I'd stick it through the wall and turned down to point at floor. Doesn't have to be trapped that way.

    If it works as open vent, then add pipework with a fall on it... Enough to allow condensation (and rain ingress) to run back down to the stack. And yes, use the proper drainage flexi.

    Is there an external wall behind the unit? If so, discharge the tundish to outside.
