DIY kitchen build, where to shop

I fitted a gloss white Wickes Kitchen and preferred the chamfered edges compared to the slab wffect of the B&Q doors(which I fitted in the utility room) wickes seems better quality than the B&Q stuff. can't comment is comparison to MFI but I was led to believe they all use 22mm units instaed of...

It did take me a while but half the battle was to learn as much as I could. think it took me 15months! Yes. she gave me a hand near the end. The kitchen was tight! I think the oven door did open 99% of the way but the 600 door under the sink wouldn't... I had to have the sink on that wall...

    Making my exterior look normal?

I thought that......build an open porch but carry an extended roof over the ground floor window and fit a 3 sided window( like a bay window but it extrudes from the flat wall) underneath the new roof. That should give it some shape and feature! Anopther more expensive option is to...

    Some ideas needed!

On the subject of paving... I roughly need 25m2 of paving( inc the path down the side of the garage). The indian stone we both like is about £16/m2 so £400 for the paving, I'm guessing 3 tons of MOT crusher and 2 tons of sharp sand.(£200ish) If I dug down and levelled the entire area...

Bubbling paint due to reoccurring damp problem, what cause?

Hi, mine wasnt the glass that failed it was the seal between the outer glass face and the upvc frame. it would then run inside the frame and track back on a poorly fitted sill into the wall. I ran silcone around the edges as a test to prove it and then replaced the seal and fixed the sill.

Bubbling paint due to reoccurring damp problem, what cause?

I once had similar problems and found it to be a failed seal on the glass unit in the frame. the water was running down the glass and through the upvc frame and into the wall causing localised damp around the corner of my window sill.
