Hi thanks for your reply, i think that the rod rests on a lever since the leaver at the back of the taps, when you move it up and down, moves a rest inside where i think the rod should sit, that is down the plughole

Hi We currently have a sink in our bathroom which has a lever at the back of the taps to move the plug up and down since the plug is attached to a screw rod, however i think that the rod has broken off since the lever does not work and you have to get a knife to take the sink plug out...
