    Indeed I am a man :) The wife always moans about the fan being too noisy and insists that it mustn't be linked to the light switch. I'll put in a new switch in the airing cupboard next to the isolation switch. Less convenient in my opinion but what the wife wants the wife gets.

    Near enough 2.4m. Its about 2.37m high. The decorative plastic cover of the fan protrudes about 10-15mm. The existing fan is mains voltage.
