Can a hive thermostat be used with my Worcester 35CDi boiler with its existing wireless receiver?

Disconnect lead from clock to pcb and make safe. The new connections are made at the bottom left of the PCB, beside where the mains power connects to the boiler.

    HIVE Multizone

Basically, yes, two thermostats, two receivers, one hub. All controlled through the app. It’ll just show as zone one and zone two until you rename them. Multizone is just the name given to identify the set up.

    Shared water supply

Trying to get an answer to the following, I am being asked via text and not sure of all the info. Terraced house, shared cold inlet, neighbours have turned it off for unknown reason leaving vulnerable person with no water. Water board have said a permanent solution is chargeable, I assume...

What is this boiler noise? Is it dangerous?

BG website, fixed price repair has the terms and conditions there. Basically, engineer arrives, diagnoses fault and tells you the price range it fall into. If you agree, they will go ahead. If you choose not to go ahead, they charge the lowest tier. Normally, most repairs fall into the middle...

    DHW goes cold quickly

You can check the diverter easily. Remove the green cover and turn power back on. Does the motor move the spindle up and down when powering up. Then with the heating having been off for a while, run the hot water and feel the far left hand copper pipe coming out of the bottom of the boiler, if...

Will a BG WPT1 work with Hive Hub?

Need the thermostat and hub, existing stat doesn’t have the remote capabilities.

Boiler firing even though zones all off

No, the valves have a permanent 240v feed to them and if the switch is stuck it will pass that voltage onto your boiler without the valve to physically open.

    Right To Refuse Payment?

BG might say they cannot get parts and suggest a replacement boiler but if they don’t/can’t fix it, you don’t pay. Cannot see the problem with that.

T in display is hot water pre heat and is a normal function. It should however only be on for a minute or three and then change to standby - 0 in display. If it stays on for a long time, it may be a fault such as a passing diverter.

    Hive installation questions

By the look of it you have an S Plan system, using two zone valves. It is not a gravity type control system. Its correct only to have 3 and 4 used, one for heat one for water on. If the receiver fits onto the back plate, fine, but I’d tidy up the connections first. You can either wire out the...

Ecotec pro, no fault codes, ch, but no hot water

If the boiler doesn’t respond at all to your turning the hot tap on, most common fault is the flow turbine, called the Aqua Sensor. Basically a little water wheel that spins when the water flows through the boiler to the hot tap. The spinning of the turbine is detected by a sensor that tells...

    Running out of Ideas

You are unsure if it worked properly before Nest because you had both heating and hot water on. If the fault was there before you fitted Nest, the radiators would only have been on for about a hour because once the hot water cylinder reached temp the boiler would have switched off and the...

    Wiring for hive active heating

That wiring is correct and so if you have the same set up, copy it. If unsure post with your setup. As for Hive tech support. They are excellent with their controls and fault finding with it. What they can’t be expected to do is work out what kind of crazy ass wiring has been previously...

    Pump not switching off ?

if you are happy that the zone valves move freely and are not sticking open, it is usually the micro switch in the zone valve head that is not turning off when the valve closes. With controller off and pump still running, check the orange wires in the junction box for 240v (between orange and...
