Thanks for all your comments. Sounds like I need to replace the broken lampholder in my low voltage spotlight. As I'm very much a diy novice, is that an easy job that I can do without removing the whole of the strip of spotlights ?

I have a four-spotlight strip installed on my study ceiling. One of the halogen spots has failed and despite changing the spotlight bulb several tines, it still doesn't work. The three other spotlights are all working ok. Any suggestions as to what might be the problem please? Thanks.
