High Integrety CU - Internal cabling

I don't know the answer, I'd have said they all have 3 N bars as that's my perception. Even to the point when I fitted a board with a total of 8 slots and a duall RCD kit... That's a main switch, 2 RCD's and 2 MCB's. There actually wasn't enough space to fit them all which real didn't matter as...

High Integrety CU - Internal cabling

AFAIC the term high integrity started when split load boards had the second RCD installed to become dual RCD. FWIW I've adapted a number of dual RCD boards to be non RCD protected, ie for SWA submain etc.

And some dual RCD boards come with just one MCB bussbar and has to be cut to fit whatever combination is required.

High Integrety CU - Internal cabling

Well for a start, some dual RCD boards take the feed to the rcd's from the neutral bar.

Changing and old 2 gang light switch

I'm not that up on american stuff, just picked odd bits up here and there, if they can't make up their minds what to call it, what chance do we have?

Are you sure? All those I recall have 3 neutral bars, admittedly one is usually quite small See above

5 red wires in ceiling lamp (Ed.)

Not sure why I haven't seen this thread before. And that would be my first assumption. The thing about this situation is; if that assumption is wrong then placing a lamp across any of those terminals won't harm anything... assuming you don't have a 3ph supply.

That's a bit of a surprise as they've been around for so long

    Installing RCBO Query

I'll add that the most useful test result would be to find any shared neutral. The easiest way to find that may be to temporarily move one of the existing lighting MCB's and its neutral over to the RCD section to establish if anything trips.

High Integrety CU - Internal cabling

That saves me digging mine out and taking pics EDIT: Sorry if that sounds crass, I saw OP and planned to take a pic tomorrow. Yes they are a whole magnitude different to any other screwdriver in MCB's etc but maybe not so in the earth and neutral bars.

Changing and old 2 gang light switch

Please feel free to start a new thread on the topic, but not here to avoid confusion of answers between the 2 situations. Pictures are essential, I see you are familiar with doing that and it works well for us. We like to see the wiring of each switch and iff possible which wires come from each...

    Upstairs/downstairs switch issue

Anyone can assume anything, whether they are right is anyones guess. All I'm doing is applying a little logic to the sitaution, my first and third sketch both give those fault conditions and I have certainly encountered both

Has any attempt been made to look in the kight fitting/ceiling rose at the wiring?

    Upstairs/downstairs switch issue

I may very well be wrong on this one but I can well imagine this being a classic case of either the red or blue wires not being continuous (broken) or screw clamped onto insulation: The other which I feel is quite likely is the red and yellow wires have been transposed: Instead of being this...

Changing and old 2 gang light switch

And that points to an extremely confused and contradictive forum. I'm most certainly not an expert on american wiring practices but until now I've only seen west coast used to describe the neutral switcing method. Sadly it wasn't all that long ago that I came across that method used here...
