Thanks, yes there is a metal strip. Why would the newer one have two Earth connectors? Are the old ones less safe in some way?

I'm fitting a new twin socket fascia to an existing wall outlet. The new fascia has two Earth connectors on the back where the old has only one. Does it matter which of the Earth connectors I fix the Earth cable to, or do I need to split it or something. Sorry if it's a stupid question, just...
