    Adding to concrete?

Hello I had an area of concrete laid ( approx 10ft x 4ft) last week. It has been laid about 1" too low so that water is sitting on it. The contracter has been back to look at it and intends to correct the problem by laying a further inch on top with a gradient to the adjacent drain. Can anyone...

Melamine laminate floor - fireplace gap

Hello I've laid a click-lock melamine laminated floor in my living room. I have a fairly rough cut, uneven stone hearth and there is an uneven expansion gap around it. Can anyone suggest a way of covering the gap please? Any form of beading will still not meet the rough edges so I'm a bit...

It's going in the place of the open fire in the living room. Not having gas it's also the cheapest...

multifuel stove instead of open fire?

Thanks for your quick replies. Sorry to be thick but is this a job for a plumber or a stove 'fitter'? Must admit to being a bit startled at the 6-8K myself but have eventually managed to get out of bed again and face the world!!!
