Bosch dishwasher stuck on 1 minute

Hi I have a 9 year old Bosch Hydrosensor dishwasher that is getting stuck at 1 minute - by stuck i mean the time shows 1 minute and it is washing quite happily away, But never stops! It isnt trying to pump water out so not the same as a lot of reported 1 minute bosch questions. I did a...

No hot water but heating works....

Also to add that I have now confirmed the thermostat as functioning by means of measuring the resistance when "on" and "off" so I believe everything has been eliminated but the timer control as per last post so this seems to be the culprit. If anyone can see a flaw in my thinking then do let me...

No hot water but heating works....

Hey sorry - lots of posts against this and time in between. So taking your advice I have established the following: - moving the manual lever seems to touch a small button for a brief moment inside the valve that is triggering the hot water for a second (that is what I saw previously - but...

No hot water but heating works....

Hi So an update on this one.... ...hot water doesnt work at all now - so running on the immersion. Looking at it further I am now coming to the conclusion that the motorised valve head is faulty. Concluded from the fact that when it was working changing the thermostat setting had no...

No hot water but heating works....

Hi Dont worry your advice re doing work is taken on board - and I am rushing nowhere - but you can only run without hot water (immersion heating aside) for so long. I just want to develop a consensus of opinion as to the best course of action so I know what kind of work I need doing if any...

No hot water but heating works....

Hi I have tracked this down to the thermal control unit on the megaflow - if I mover the thermostat setting up and down and press the reset button it starts working again. And then a few days later stops again. The unit has been in about 10 years and Heatrae Sadia suggest it is likely due...

No hot water but heating works....

Hi Well the boiler is something called an Alpha - it is oil fired range with two burners one for the cooker and the other for the CH and HW. The hot water is a mains pressure system with a megaflow. I have the control valve near the tank and there is a set of pipes, two pumps and other...

No hot water but heating works....

Hi In terms of the two replies... I have a Megaflow pressuried hot water system so no header tank (I think) Also will there be more than one motorised valve for the hot water or is the one by the tank likely to be the only one ? Can I check if it is doing anything before I go replacing...

No hot water but heating works....

The one near the tank has a small lever which if I pull makes a quiet wirring sound as it returns to its original position. There is a place to clip it "open" - i tried this and nothing happened. I have yet to take the panel off upstairs to see what is there. What do you suggest ? Thanks

No hot water but heating works....

Hi I noticed today that we have no hot water and having investigated further I have established the following: - believe the boiler is OK as when I turn the heating on the boiler fires up - otherwise the hot water timer is on and "calling for heat" but the boiler doesnt fire - otherwise...
