Candy CDI1012 dishwasher drain pump runs continuously.

l would be surprised if the anti-flood micro switch had failed because I doubt it has ever operated. Would I not be better just disconnecting or shorting out the switch to test it? If not I have a Fluke multimeter. Is there anything else on this appliance that could cause this fault code? Does...

Candy CDI1012 dishwasher drain pump runs continuously.

Its a Fluke T5 continuity tester. 25 ohms (on) to 400 ohms (off)

Candy CDI1012 dishwasher drain pump runs continuously.

Yes, I only used a continuity tester but the switch opens/closes circuit (can't remember which way round) when you apply pressure in the tube connection. Are you saying there should be a resistance through it?

Candy CDI1012 dishwasher drain pump runs continuously.

Hi Yardie. Thanks for the interest. I have removed and tested the pressure switch on the right hand side which appears to be is a straightforward open/closed circuit switch. It operates correctly and there is no water in the tube.

Candy CDI1012 dishwasher drain pump runs continuously.

I found the anti flood switch which is a polystyrene float operating a micro switch. It is not the fault. I removed and tested the switch and it is ok. The four flashing, beeping lights and pump running for a couple of minutes are being caused by something else. Any ideas?

Candy CDI1012 dishwasher drain pump runs continuously.

Hi, can anyone tell me where the anti-flood switch is on a Candy 1012/2 dishwasher? I have taken the machine apart (having experienced 4 flashing lights and simultaneous beeps followed by pump operation) and can see a pressure switch on the R/H side. Is that it? Where is the sump? Many thanks

    Roto replacement mechanism

I have a tilt and open UPVC window which has a Roto mechanism. The part which locates with the fork on the handle is broken and I need to replace it but cannot track one down. Any ideas where I can get one from? Why on earth these images won't display is anyone's guess. I haven't made them...

    Alpha 280E wont heat dhw

Today i stripped the diverter valve and all is ok, I replaced the internals about 2 years ago. The only thing I found is a torn diaphragm which i will replace when i can get one. I temporarily rebuilt the valve and ran the boiler, holding the diaphragm micro switch in and switched on the hot...

    Alpha 280E wont heat dhw

Strange this, when we turn on hot water in the bathroom the boiler fires up and produces hot water, albeit a lot slower than it used to, however, when we turn on the kitchen tap the boiler won't fire up. If we leave the kitchen tap running then turn on the bathroom tap, then we get hot water in...

    Alpha 280E problem

Just stripped and examined the diverter valve assembly again. Taken the long spring out and tried again. Boiler ran on DHW then, when I turned the tap off, the boiler carried on and tripped out on high temperature. Really need an exploded view of this diverter valve assembly

    Alpha 280E problem

Thanks for the reply Tony. When I dismantled the valve (late at night as it turns out) I had a feeling the long spring went at the front, however, when I reassembled it I could not find anywhere it would fit! It seems to fit perfectly between both diverter valve seats though. Gonna have...

    Alpha 280E problem

Is there anywhere I can find an exploded view of the diverter valve? I've just taken the DHW flow valve off to check it. When I push the plastic, pan shaped thing with a needle in it, (sits inside the diaphragm) back into the diverter valve, there is a very strong resistance behind it. If...

    Alpha 280E problem

Which differential switch? Just taken green wire off, CH runs and neon comes on! Does this mean the DHW flow valve is jamming? I can push it in though.

    Alpha 280E problem

Getting me confused now. I'll try and explain. Neither rods move at all unless I turn the power off to the boiler when the primary flow valve rod withdraws. Conversely, when I turn the power on the primary flow valve rod moves out again. Hope thats clearer. I'll try removing the green...

    Alpha 280E problem

The only rod that moves is the primary flow valve which withdraws when the power is turned off. Neither rods move when the DHW is turned on or off. I have stripped, cleaned and replaced all the rods using a refurb kit. If I remove the micro switches I can move the rods manually, however the...
