I have just replaced the siphon on my old toilet as the insides had torn and i have had to cut the bottom of the siphon as out of the bottom of it there was an extra piece that went on the bottom with a black rubber that blocked a hole in the base of the pan but now i have put it back together...

so either 32mm or 40mm compression will do or the part in the photo

I have a slight leak on the old what looks like copper bath waste and basin waste pipe work which looks like the size of 32mm and 40mm in size and I wish to change it, will I be able to join onto the old pipe with plastic compression fitting or will not be that easy any ideas would be good

I will give it a go with the hose pipe, not to sure what the washing up liquid will do

what do i need 3o meters of pipe for as the drain down for the system is outside anyway

I have just removed some of my rads to do some decorating and while they wher off I have decided to fit new ones, I have refilled the central heating tank in the loft but none of my rads will bleed out, all the valves are open and I am thinking I have a big air lock any ideas on how to get rid...

the thing he showed me looked very much like a fused spur.... and what i am really asking is if i used to just plug the fridge,freezer,washing machine and tumble dryer ect straight into a plug socket why cant i just do the same now when the new kitchen is fitted

i am having a new kitchen fitted and the electrician has said to me that with all my white goods i will need a fused spur for all of them and that also they have to next to the plugs above the counter tops??? i am not happy with this as im gonna have sockets all over the place making the kitchen...

its about 15 foot away from the cu all bonding is in place all in 10mm no spare ways at all

I have been working in a customers house and they have asked me a question about getting an electric shower fitted. They want a triton 9.5kw electric shower fitted, what sort of wiring should they be using and as they have an old style fuse box would they need a seperate shower consumer unit...

what sort of things should i be checking for??

i am having a few probs with my plumbing lately and this is the latest i have hot water but no central heating any ideas could it be the 3 port valve

so by closing off the other rads it should force the hot water around and do i close both the trv and the lockshield

all the trvs are new

the rads have trvs the pipes to the rads are cold but the pipes in the loft that go to the rads are hot but it seems its just not geting there and the 2 pipes in the loft come down the wall and feed both rads if that helps
