    New noise after technician visit

Thanks, here's the previous post with all the details. It was just the run from the nearest cold feed and return into the hot water system. https://www.diynot.com/diy/threads/new-combi-install-help-needed.576791/

    New noise after technician visit

So I had a problem with low HW pressure which was much improved by switching out plastic piping for copper. That was done yesterday. Apparently the only thing he did inside the boiler was check the gas flow rate. We have a new noise now that wasn't there before, sounds like a jet spinning up...

    New combi install, help needed

Just a follow up on this, finally got them back. The QC guy for the company has just left. The only work performed was replacing the runs to and from the boiler. He avoided elbows where possible and bent the pipe, the result? HW from the same tap went from 8L/m to 12L/m That's a result in my...

In fairness the online company are sending their head guy who checks the sub contractors work so we'll see what happens.

    New combi install, help needed

Had the installer back today to fit the NRV. He made excuses for fitting plastic pipework, promised the plastic elbow was 15mm (I'm sure it's a 15mm fitment, I'm more concerned about the internal diameter) and turned up the water pressure on the whole house. I have insane pressure from the...

    New combi install, help needed

Yes the new 100w. Yep, outlet fully open. The mixer tap that is on the same pipes as the boiler sees 17+L/m cold and around 7L/m hot coming back I dug out the benchmark: Gas rate 3.121 18.5mbar Flow rate 12.5 CO73 co.co2 0.0007 ratio

And it would ordinarily be above 19 right? Also look at that elbow though, that's 15mm pipe reduced down to what, 10 in that elbow?

    New combi install, help needed

The local people I contacted either didn't have the availability, wanted too much money or wanted to use their preferred boiler when I was set on the viessmann so I used a company that would supply and fit that.

What length is the pipe in total? From the meter? It's gotta be 10 m, maybe a little more.

    New combi install, help needed

Yeah, I don't know what's going on with those elbows, not seen them before. The ones I've seen are 15mm around the bend, these look stretched out or something... It looks like it goes down to 10/12mm or something as well. (edit: actually that's probably 22mm coming out the wall, still, the bend...

Not sure what the difference would be, I'll attach a photo of how he left it....

    New combi install, help needed

He wasn't cheap actually, took him two days though. A lot of that was spent looking inside the wall for the 22mm gas feed, which he eventually found. The irony was the viessmann inlet is 15mm. He made a good job on the old flu hole, not happy with the pipework inside. It was one of those...

    New combi install, help needed

Thanks for picking up on on that. Those pics were taken mid install before it was all hidden behind a cupboard, figured they'd be clearer/easier to see what's going on. Valves are now open on the magniclean.

I just mean resolder the elbows. If it still leaks then the shower mixer would need replacing from the other side.

    New combi install, help needed

They're just standard 20+ year old brass taps upstairs, same on the basins. All the valves are open from what I can tell but I did notice he's used a little plastic elbow that could be restricting things?

    New combi install, help needed

Btw, I get about 17ltr/m on the pipe feeding the boiler and 6ltr/m at the hot taps upstairs with no other draws on the system.

    New combi install, help needed

We're all plonkers in our own way I guess ;) I'm probably the nightmare client who kept checking on him every 2 hours and wanted him to do work outside of remit. I just didn't think it'd be an issue, to my mind, while he was there, cut a hole in the plasterboard and reflux, 10 mins max. I'd do...
