Found a burnt out component on the board. Its a white square block on K1. There are several on the board. Has HF3FD/ 012-Z3E(088)/ TG27 written on it with some amp and temp values. Anyone know what it is so I can search for a new one. Ta

Another update, I'm still at it!! Don't know if this is of significance but when the lights start flashing, I can hear the drain pump going but also the motor for the dryer starts running too!!

Why have hotpoint made these machines with the filter so bloomin difficult to get to? Most other models have a flap and a screw cap at the front of the machine!!!

Bit more info. According to error codes list by rocks1 on other posts, it's the pressure switch, so have blown in it and down the tube. I've also disconnected the PCB and left off for few minutes. I've also cleared out the pump. Connected everything back up, selected rinse and spin...

Hi ignore last. I'm not electrician but can do most things myself if lookup the know how and didn't even know what a capacitor was!! Now I do and can't believe it's 25p!!! If that fixes it, you lot are on my xmas list :lol: Better buy a soldering iron too! :? lol

Followed the threads about the C17 capacitor. Sounds to me that's the most likely cause so will take a look. So is that what I have to search for to order a new one or will it be called something else. Thanks
